World’s biggest 3D machine control order confirmed |

SBG has as sub-supplier to Scanlaser Polska been selected to deliver 3D machine control systems for Europe’s largest road project.
The order, which is the biggest in company history, entails delivery of 50 of SBG’s powerful GeoROG™ machine control units for the construction machinery used in Skanska’s A1 motorway construction project in Poland, a contract worth an estimated 570 million dollars. The SBG order also includes some ten GeoPad™ handheld mobile devices as well as several Geo™ software licenses for construction workers, surveyors and engineers.
“Naturally we are very pleased that Skanska has chosen to use our products” says SBG CEO Sven Vejde and continues; “This order paves the way for a strong European operation, and we are currently expanding in Germany, Norway and Holland.”
The deal was announced after Skanska landed the contract for construction of the approximately 90km (54 miles) long motorway stretch from Gdansk to Warsaw earlier this year. Construction work is already underway and SBG is happy to confirm that the company will be the supplier of system solutions for office, field and machinery for the enterprise.

We can offer Skanska the flexibility of a standardized data flow between machinery, surveyors and the office” Sven Vejde concludes.
