GeoROG - in production since 1995
SBG introduces the new GeoROG V8, with the all new UMC 3D Software (Universal Machine Control 3D)

The universal solution for 3D machine control which gives you:
- Improved return on investment (ROI)
- Higher precision
- The freedom to use different brands of GPS/Total stations
- One MMI (interface) for all your machines

We have once again designed and perfected the solution for 3D machine control. Use GeoROG V8 with UMC 3D to control your machines and earth-moving equipment.

GeoROG

GeoROG—for flexible machine control
GeoROG helps you control a wide range of machines, and you can move it from one machine to another. For example, you can use it for: GeoROG

GeoROG is designed to connect to various cross-fall and control solutions, such as:
  • Mikrofyn
  • Topcon
  • Spectra Precision
  • Axiomatic BPS
  • Trimble
  • Gomaco
  • Wirtgen
  • Lko
  • Prolec
  • Novatron
  • Plasser & Theurer
  • Createc

Total station or global positioning system (GPS)
Most operators position machine via total stations or via satellites, using GPS receivers.

In combination with GeoROG, you can operate various brands of position indicators.

Total station:
  • Leica
  • Spectra Precision
  • Topcon
  • Trimble
GPS:
  • Topcon
  • Leica
  • Trimble
  • Javad
  • Ashtech
  • Spectra Precision
  • Sokkia

Input data
GeoROG works well with various models, for example:
  • Road lines. Horizontal and vertical alignment with cross-slope.
  • Complex road design including templates.
  • Digital terrain models (DTM).
  • Points.
  • Base lines.
  • Heights.

Input data is transmitted directly from an office computer, from a portable computer on the machine, or from a GSM solution to GeoROG. You can also enter data manually by using the GeoROG keyboard.

GeoROG is compatible with various formats via surveying and design applications for PCs, for example:
  • DXF
  • DWG
  • ASCII
  • Land-XML
  • AnPakke
  • Excel

One unit in the operator’s cab
GeoROG is housed in one unit, including an 8.4” high-resolution color display. An optional keyboard, light bar, and alarm are also available.

High precision
GeoROG continuously determines exact positions of machines’ mechanical equipment by:
  • Reading distances and angles in relation to the total station, or
  • Reading coordinates received from GPS receivers.

Position continuously displayed
The display shows updated information about the section (chainage), side offset, cross-fall and vertical deviations. Operators can instantly and easily get information on current data, such as angles, distances, and coordinates.

3D control
You avoid problems such as vertical curves, cross-slope transitions, and changes in width—thanks to GeoROG’s 3D machine control. GeoROG always adjusts the machine’s position or its moving tools, under all conditions—regardless of surface appearance or characteristics.

Stable, reliable operation
Since 1996, many large and small enterprises inside and outside Sweden have been successfully using GeoROG, which has been proven to be reliable under rough working conditions.

Safer working environment
You increase work site safety because no one is needed outside the machine to check the position. GeoROG reduces idle time and unnecessary equipment transport. Fatigue and risk of injuries are also reduced.

Improved ROI
GeoROG considerably cuts machine and labor costs. No job is too small for GeoROG, which enables:
  • Increased production output.
  • Higher precision.
  • A reduction in use of construction material.
  • Decreased staffing needs.
